My background

In 2002 I started FifeX Ltd as a spin-out of the University of St Andrews. Until 2018, I ran the company and it has now become Scotland's and one of the UK's leading suppliers of bespoke products for education and visitor attractions. In my time our clients included major science centres and museums, galleries, the Government, companies like Scottish Power, Canon, the BBC, universities up and down the country, schools, councils and charities and the odd individual. We built things for many clients with many different abilities and experiences. FifeX products have been all around the world, on the TV, the radio, in classrooms, lecture theatres, blogs, they've been in education catalogues in the UK and as far afield as Australia.

As well as my technical and design experience, I have significant business development knowledge having created, built up and then navigated a successful design company through the recession which hit our sector hard. I have considerable experience and can help you use your staff, space and other resources in the most efficient way.
